Organic English lavender hydrosol, Lavendula augustifolia distillate, which contains all the beneficial water soluble molecules from the distillation of organic lavender which makes the essential oil.  The distillate (hydrosol) and oil are separated and we use this gorgeously exquisite hydrosol in all of our products instead of using just plain water.

Niacinamide is one of two principal forms of niacin, the B-complex vitamin, B3, which was first isolated from rice bran in 1911.  Clinical studies show that niacinamide reduces wrinkle depth, is soothing and anti-inflammatory relieving redness caused by rosacea, dry or irritated skin, improves skin moisturisation, reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL), improves the appearance of ageing skin by stimulating new fibroblasts and collagen synthesis, increases skin elasticity, encourages a more even-looking skin tone by lightening the skin and reducing age spots, pore size and blemishes.

Organic safflower seed oil, Carthamus tinctorius, rich in omega 6 & 9 Essential Fatty Acids. Safflower seed oil is particularly high in omega 6 which studies have shown is anti-inflammatory and helpful in alleviating eczema and dermatitis.

Organic rosehip seed oil, Rosa rubiginosa, contains natural tretinoin - an excellent source of trans-retinoic acid which is a natural precursor of vitamin A, which affects many of the physiological responses of the skin, such as dermal ageing, immune defense, and wound healing.

Organic Shea Butter, Butyrospermum parkii.  We've chosen the most nutrient-rich bioactive shea butter available from a fair trade project in Nigeria which contains phytosterols, Essential Fatty Acids (Omega 3,6 & 9) including oleic acid, stearic acid, linoleic acid, palmitic acid, and linolenic acid.  With up to 65% of cinnamic acid esters, shea butter is anti-inflammatory and excellent in moisturising, protecting and healing especially dry and damaged skin.

Organic starflower seed oil, Borago officinalis, which contains high levels of the omega 6 fatty acid, Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) - which our bodies need to create prostaglandins.  Prostaglandins are not only anti-inflammatory but defficiencies cause dryness, loss of skin suppleness and wrinkling.

Organic Immortelle, Helichrysum italicum, is a beautiful flower from the foothills of the French Alps which studies have shown is anti-inflammatory, photoprotective, and improves skin condition. 

Natural Vitamin C, Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, from orange peel.  We've chosen the most bioavailable and stable form of vitamin C available today which delivers pure Vitamin C fifty times better than ascorbic acid and protects cells against UV-B better than other esters of Vitamin C.  This innovative form of vitamin C is highly antioxidant, and has been shown to increase collagen synthesis and smooth skin complexion to clarify giving a more even skin tone.

Natural Vitamin E, Tocopherol.  We've chosen our vitamin E so that it contains a higher percentage of the active, gamma-tocopherol.  In addition to scavenging free radicals, vitamin e is anti-inflammatory and soothing.  The ability of gamma-tocopherol to inhibit COX-2 activity independently of its antioxidant function in studies has shown that this form of vitamin E plays an important role in photo-protection and skin cancer prevention.

Curcumin extract, Tetrahydrocurcuminoids, is photoprotective and clarifying, evening the skin tone.  Many studies have shown that curcumin exhibits remarkable anticarcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.

Organic Rosemary, Rosmarinus officinalis, as a supercritical fluid CO² extract, is highly antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

Wild Frangipani, Plumeria acutifolia, from France giving a light, delicate, and intoxicatingly rare aroma.

Organic Sea Buckthorn, Hippophae rhamnoides, as a supercritical fluid CO² extract to preserve its healing properties.  Sea Buckthorn promotes cell rejuvenation, is anti-inflammatory, is high in Omega 7 and has been proven to clarify the skin, decreases transepidermal water loss therefore improving skin hydration and moisturising, promotes cell rejuvenation, has excellent anti-inflammatory properties, is UV protective and increases the synthesis of procollagen therefore ideal for preventing skin photoaging.
